One of the island’s most eccentric characters, John Moon has spent over 20 years in India exploring spirituality and sexuality.
For the past eight years, though, he has presided over his unique Bambuddha Grove® empire, on the San Juan road, a spell-binding otherworldly enclave of mock Buddhist temples, bars, a “tantric” shop and the finest ethnic fusion restaurant on the island.
“Most places don’t have the pure cosmopolitan vibe of Ibiza,” believes John, who has left the island twice only to be magnetised back in.
“It’s borderless, you just don’t know who’s going to speak which language.” “It’s changed a lot though. People are showing wealth more.
Before people were always trying to get away from that.

“It’s not what I came here for in the beginning,” he grins mischievously. “But we’re not running away from it either.”
